Sabancı University Exchange, Istanbul, Turkey

Boston University students have the opportunity to directly enroll at Sabancı University for a semester or academic year. Located just outside Istanbul, Sabancı University is the premier private university in Turkey. Sabancı has continued to embrace its core philosophy of “learning to learn” since its founding in 1999. Courses are taught in English and are available in a variety of disciplines.

Boston University students will have access to Sabancı’s numerous campus amenities, including dining halls, residences, fitness center, and educational support resources.

  • Fall Semester: mid September to mid January
  • Spring Semester: early February to early June
  • Academic Year: mid September to early June
Cost
Credits
  • Upon successful completion of a semester, students earn 16 Boston University credits.
Housing
  • Students have the option of living on campus in dormitory facilities on a space-available basis. Arrangement for housing will be make in advance of travel to Turkey
Application Deadlines
  • Spring Semester: September 15

Program Staff

The Sabancı University Exchange is administered by staff at Boston University. A program manager oversees the admissions and pre-departure procedure, and maintains contact with students prior to their arrival in Istanbul. The Boston office also houses administrative personnel who are responsible for everyday operations.
