Admissions

Fall Semester/Academic Year: March 15
Spring Semester:Extended to October 31, 2009 (Originally October 15)

For Spring 2010, the application deadline has been extended to October 31, 2009.

Admissions Calendar:

Review of applications will begin according to the following timetable.

Requirements:

  • • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA (in major and overall)
  • • Though not required, it is suggested that students have one semester or more of college-level Hebrew or Arabic language, or the equivalent, before starting the program
  • • All students must complete the minimum 16-credit program, enrolling in four academic courses

Program Fee

2009/2010 Program Cost: $22,810

The following are included in the program fee:

  • • Tuition
  • • Housing
  • • Airfare from designated US city
  • • Field trips
  • • Emergency travel assistance coverage

Additional expenses to consider.

The cost for 2010/2011 has not yet been announced and will be subject to approval by the Board of Trustees at Boston University.

Program Staff

The Boston University Haifa Program is administered by staff in both our Boston and Haifa offices. In Boston, a program manager facilitates the admissions and orientation procedures, and maintains contact with students prior to their arrival in Haifa. The Boston Office also houses administrative personnel who are responsible for everyday operations. In Haifa, the staff comprises a resident director, administrative, academic and housing personnel.
