Admissions

Application Deadlines:
Spring Semester: October 15
Fall Semester: March 15

Requirements:
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (in major and overall)
• Completion of one full year of introductory biology, one course in ecology (BI 303 or 306 for BU students). Non-BU students should contact International Programs to determine their prerequisites
• One year of college-level Spanish language or the equivalent, with grades of B or better
• Students admitted to the program must be able to engage in intensive fieldwork for significant periods of time.

Program Fee

2008-2009 Program Cost: $23,979

The following are included in the program fee:
• Tuition

Boston Staff

The Boston University Ecuador Tropical Ecology Program is administered in coordination with our Boston and Quito offices. In Boston, a program manager facilitates the admissions and orientation procedures, and maintains contact with students prior to their arrival in Ecuador. In Ecuador, the program is facilitated by a resident coordinator.
