Fall Semester: September 2nd to December 22nd, 2008
Spring Semester: late January to mid-May

The Boston University Shanghai Internship Program offers a semester of study and internship experience, in the vibrant and booming metropolis of Shanghai, to students at beginning and advanced levels of Chinese language study. Hosted at Fudan University, and working in collaboration with Fudan’s Department of Chinese Language and Literature, the Shanghai Internship Program combines professional work experience with language and culture coursework. Upon successful completion of the semester students earn 16 Boston University credits.

Fudan University
Fudan University (www.fudan.edu.cn), one of China's leading universities, was founded in 1905. The word "Fudan," literally meaning "heavenly light shines day after day," suggests inexhaustible self-reliance and industriousness. Fudan confers bachelor's degrees in 68 academic disciplines and 209 graduate degrees. There are also 25 research stations that offer postdoctoral fellowships. Fudan now has an enrollment of 25,000 full-time degree candidates and the second-largest foreign student population in China - some 1,650 students from around the world.
