Housing
Program participants live
at the project headquarters and sleep in tents and dormitories, or guest
houses, depending on the fieldwork site. Students and staff eat communally;

Odd-numbered years:
Patricia McAnany, Ph.D., M.S.,
University of New Mexico at Albuquerque, is a professor of archaeology at Boston
University. She has published widely on Maya archaeology and culture, particularly
on the topics of ancestor veneration and ancient economies, and receives research
support from the National Science Foundation.
Even-numbered years:
Norman Hammond, Ph.D., M.A.,
University of Cambridge, is a professor of archaeology at Boston University.
A specialist in Maya archaeology and culture, he has been a visiting scholar
in France, Germany, Russia, and England, and has published widely in his field.
