Argentina Cultural Studies: Writing in the Americas offers graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to live and study in Buenos Aires, Argentina's intellectual and cultural capital and one of Latin America's most sophisticated cities. Distinctly influenced by its European heritage, Buenos Aires is known for its beautiful architecture and rich cultural life. It is home to many museums, theatres, art galleries, and bookstores. Course-related excursions will provide students with an opportunity to discover the city's vibrant cultural scene.
Courses will be offered on Argentine culture and on the writing of Jorge Luis Borges, as well as recent literary and intellectual developments. Classes will take place on the campus of the Universidad de San Andrés in downtown Buenos Aires. Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn eight Boston University credits. This program is also offered at the graduate level where, upon successful completion, students will earn four to six Boston University credits.
