Whether or how classes are to be made up is at the discretion of the faculty member. Please note: Employees in essential services must report as scheduled. International Exchange Students at BU

Boston University Study Abroad administers international exchange programs for students in several countries around the world. Through these exchanges, American and foreign students have the opportunity to learn, teach, and conduct research at some of the world’s most prestigious institutions.

Students at our partner institutions have the opportunity to study at BU for a semester or academic year. Interested students must first be approved by their home university before applying for exchange at BU.

If you are a student at one of these universities and would like to study at BU, you must first consult with the international office at your home institution. Students who have been approved by their home institution can apply for exchange at BU according to the application instructions. Only students who have already been approved by their home university will be considered for exchange.
