Faculty Exchange Programs
BU Study Abroad offers four exchange program opportunities for BU faculty members. Each year, these short-term exchanges provide the opportunity for a limited number of BU scholars to conduct research and collaborate with colleagues at our overseas partner institutions indicated below. The exchanges also provide the opportunity for selected faculty and scholars from our overseas partner institutions to conduct research and collaborate with colleagues here at Boston University.

Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Beijing, China
The CASS exchange is ideally suited for faculty from CAS, SMG, and COM, interested in scholarly exchange with China, with academic pursuits and research in the humanities and social science that will benefit from the resources available at CASS.
Università degli Studi di Napoli L’Orientale (UNO), Naples, Italy
Faculty in African studies, archaeology, classical studies, languages, and linguistics with an interest in the scholarly collections and research opportunities at the UNO are especially invited to apply for the UNO exchange.
Università degli Studi di Padua, Padua, Italy
This summer faculty exchange offers the opportunity to work with students and scholars at the Università and BU’s Centro Studi.
