Quito, Ecuador
If you’re looking for a destination that’s off the study abroad radar, Quito is a great choice. The capital of Ecuador, Quito is a very beautiful city—in fact, it was the very first city on the UNESCO Heritage List. That’s because it has the largest, best-preserved, and least-altered historic city center in the Americas.
Since Quito is a full immersion program, students are enrolled as full-time undergraduates at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, a modern private university located on the outskirts of Quito, which offers a full range of courses and subjects. To make the most of your immersion, we arrange homestays with local families.
Program-sponsored excursions are some of the most dramatic you’ll find on any of our programs: the Galapagos Islands, the volcanoes around Quito, the Amazon rainforest and more.
