Dr. Elisabetta Convento received a Laurea in Foreign Languages from the University of Padua, a Masters Degree in Comparative Literature from Purdue University, and a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Trento and  the University of Paris 8. She has been working with study abroad programs since 1998. Prior to her appointment with Boston University, she served as Professor and Academic Coordinator for the University of California in Padua, and as Adjunct Professor at the University of Trento. She has written essays in the field of Linguistics, Women Studies and Italian Studies. She edited and translated Julia Kristeva’s Il rischio del pensare (Il Melangolo 2006) and is currently working on a monographic volume on Kristeva.
