Daryl Mildenhall, Associate Director of the Sydney Internship Program, coordinates the Sydney Film Festival and Entertainment Promotion Program. Daryl joined the Sydney program on a full-time basis in 1999. He teaches the “Mass Media in Australia” subject and coordinates the internship program in Sydney. He was formerly Course Coordinator and Head of Television Studies at Charles Sturt University. He has a Master of Arts degree in Television Production. As well as teaching at CSU, he has taught at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema and Television. He has been a practicing professional in the area of film and television production, and has been awarded several grants from the Australian Film Commission for original work.
He has worked extensively throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and North America and has been awarded the Television Society of Australia Award for excellence on two occasions, once for Best Television Documentary Film and the other for Innovative Corporate Video Production. He has represented Australia on numerous occasions at international film and television festivals including the renowned John Grierson Award for Documentary Film—American Film Festival (New York).
