As Office Manager, Amanda works with the Director on strategic planning and is responsible for overseeing the Washington, DC residence hall, preparing finance reports, managing the program website and residence and overseeing classroom safety and security issues. Prior to joining BU Study Abroad Washington, DC, Amanda worked at The Climate Reality Project on fundraising and event management. As a political research and analysis intern for DCS Politics, she has written internet content and analyzed websites. Amanda has been active in political campaigns and has studied abroad in Florence, Italy. She holds a BA in Anthropology and Sociology from Lafayette College (Easton, Pennsylvania) where she graduated magna cum laude with honors in both anthropology and sociology. Amanda served as Captain of the Lafayette Equestrian Team which she led to an eighth place finish at the 2009 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Finals. Originally from Parkland, Florida, Amanda has lived in Washington DC for over two years. She also enjoys baking, reading, running and traveling.
