Mariarosa Mettifogo (Dott. Lett., M.A., Ph.D.) completed her graduate studies in English and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Davis. A Fulbright Fellow in 1998-99, she has researched and taught in comparative literature, the humanities, Italian language, culture and literature at the University of California in Davis and at the UC Study Center in Padua. Her research and teaching interests include women’s writing in Europe and the United States, the gothic and fantastic, and feminist theory and criticism. She has worked and published on Margaret Fuller and Neera, and is currently completing a volume on nineteenth-century European women writers and feminism.
