Non-Boston University Students
Grants & Scholarships for Need & Merit
Boston University offers grants and scholarships to non-BU students for any full-year, fall, spring, or summer program offered by Boston University Study Abroad.
Last year, Boston University Study Abroad awarded grants and scholarships to 190 students, helping to make their summer, semester, or year abroad possible. You may qualify, too. Get an application.
Amount of Awards
Awards are made based on both need and merit, with an emphasis on need. The dollar amounts vary and typically range from $300 to $5,000 and beyond, depending on the student’s circumstances and the cost of the program.
Special Padua Awards
Both BU and non-BU students participating in the Padua, Italy semester or academic year program are eligible to apply for Padua Research Scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,500. Award recipients conduct research while in Italy and analyze their findings in a footnoted paper. Students who are accepted to the Padua program will be forwarded application forms from the Program Manager for Padua at Boston University Study Abroad.
