Information Sessions

Learn more in Person

There are many ways to learn more about studying abroad with BU Study Abroad:

  • Information tables in the GSU Link
  • Individual program sessions
  • Special events at the Howard Thurman Center

Different sessions feature our staff, program managers, alumni, and, often, a program’s resident director from abroad, all of whom are available for questions about what to expect during your semester abroad.

To see a full listing of GSU Link and Information Sessions, please visit the Information Calendar.

In addition to these informative events, we highly encourage students to visit our office for personalized guidance in choosing a program and assistance throughout the application and acceptance process.

External Programs

BU Students who wish to study abroad with a program not run by Boston University should first visit the External Programs webpage to get familiar with the process.

After doing so, students can meet with the Assistant Director for External Programs to discuss program interests, options, and course of action. If unable to meet during the External Programs open office hours, students can set up an appointment or ask questions via email.

If you have any questions, please contact the BU Study Abroad office at (617) 353-9888 or email us.
