Update: London Disturbances
As you know there were very few problems in London last night however, there was damage caused to shops near Sloane Square tube (2 stops away).
As far as we are aware there will still be a very heavy police presence on the streets tonight and we are strongly advising that you stay in your building tonight. The events this week have been unpredictable and fast moving and as I wrote yesterday you do not know when or where you may run into trouble.
A few students have decided to leave the programme early. If you decide to do likewise you must be in touch with Sarah Farrow, Kate Atwell or Mona Patel in the office and then you must follow the early check out procedure. If you are on the internship programme you must also notify your internship supervisor.
I very much regret that your last week on the Summer 2011 BU London Programme has been marred by these events. I hope that the preceding weeks have given you a much better sense of everything that London has to offer and that you will have opportunities in the future to return.
Please be in contact if you, or your parents, have any concerns.
