Update: Puyehue Volcano in Chile
June 21, 2011
Although the eruption of Chile’s Puyehue volcano appears to be diminishing, the ash cloud it produced two weeks ago continues to circle the globe and has once again drifted over Australia causing hundreds of cancelled and delayed flights.
All students traveling to and from Australia and New Zealand are advised to keep an eye on the news as well as the websites of their airlines, in order to verify that flights will leave on time. Any student whose return home is delayed should contact their program’s resident staff in order to arrange extended housing.
